Gratitude and a Christmas Book Fair

In the spring of this year, Wayman Press offered to publish A Cat’s Legacy, formerly entitled Twelve Habits of Highly Successful Cats and Their Humans. I will be forever grateful that Dulcy’s companion book to A Cat’s Life now has its own life.
And so today I feel privileged to be part of the Wayman Press Three-Day Christmas Book Fair, which offers over eighty e-books, several of them free.
Two of my books are on that list of eighty. Also, I wrote a short story—a  cat fantasy—for Open Doors: An Anthology, which is being offered as a free choice. The story is entitled “The Mesmerizing Monk.” It is from a feline fantasy which I am writing.
Below is the information provided by Wayman for this book fair.

A socially conscious press, Wayman is dedicated to helping those in need. Much of the profit from the following anthology will be donated to Primary Children's Hospital in the form of Christmas gifts we'll bring to the long-term patients staying there.

  1. I fully intend to write a review for you of your books, Dee. After the Thanksgiving thrash and recovering from my recent illness, it's on my list of things to do. Thanks for this information about these books; I'll check them out! :-)

    1. Dear DJan, thanks so much for saying you'll write reviews for Dulcy's two books. That means a lot to me. But please do so only when you feel really well. I've been away from blogging for several days and so I wasn't aware that you were ill. Take good care of yourself. Peace.

  3. Looks like I have to get a Kindle just to keep up with my author friends in Bloggyland. I so want to read that one about the fairy tales and my friend Kitty Howard now has two books out only available on Kindle.

Almost forgot: Is that a the new cover for A Cat's Legacy? I really like it. I think more than the other green one.

    1. Dear Inger, like you, I need to think about getting a Kindle. Maybe for my birthday in April.

And yes that is the new cover. I'm glad you like it! Peace.

  4. I am with Inger here. It does seem that I will have to get a Kindle. Thank you for this link to an event which I hope succeeds beyond everyone's expectations.

    1. Dear EC, you, Inger, and myself all seem to be behind the times! I'm thinking of giving myself a Kindle for my birthday, which is four months away. I've resisted buying one because I so like the feel of book pages under my fingertips, but how can I resist the cost of e-books when compared to the paper books I buy!!!! Also, of course, there is the convenience of traveling with a simple e-reader tablet that can hold so many books on it. Peace.

    1. Dear Betsy, happy Advent Sunday to you. This is my favorite liturgical season and I'm going to try to establish a routine during the next four weeks that will enable me to do four things several times a week: write, pray, exercise, and do Tai Chi Chih. I've lost my routine due to ill health, but now I'm going to start anew! Peace.

  6. I went into the site and bought a few, one of them being yours (A Cat's Legacy). I am looking forward to the time after the holidays when I can read them all.

    Take care of yourself, Dee.

  11. I'm so sorry I missed this post, Dee! I wasn't expecting you on Sunday! :-) I think with being out of town I fell behind, but this is all great information, even if deadlines have passed! You are a part of some wonderful publishing opportunities and I enjoy the way you link to so many other wonderful writers and story tellers. By the way, I recently gifted a friend with your two books, and she wrote me this morning that she'd just finished Dulcy's Story and is ready to move on to "A Cat's Legacy." She said she was in tears as she finished the first one. I am going to encourage her to begin following you on the blog. She's not a blogger, but she's a good reader, and good friend! oxo

    1. Dear Debra, I'm so pleased that your friend enjoyed "A Cat's Life." It does bring tears at the end to many readers, but it's joyous also because both Dulcy and I realize the everlasting bond between us in those final pages. Thank you for gifting her with Dulcy's two books. And thanks also for recommending my blog to her. Peace.
